Yes, God exists, or god exists – how could he not? Or she, or it?
All artists are deeply spiritual beings, whether they care to admit it or not.

COMMITMENT
The fully committed actor engages in a primal pursuit, much like that of food, shelter, and sex. It is a pursuit that reduces its participant to a no longer reducible level of existence that is as close as we are going to get to lasting, authentic meaning in our lives.

MY FAVORITE SHOP
My favorite shop in all of Bucharest? A hair salon named, drum roll if you would, EGOIST. It is a wonderful name for any sort of business, because for a second I thought, “I should go in there, they know about me.”

CHOICES, CHOICES...
Often we feel fraudulent when we step into our own authentic lives, the clothes seem like someone else’s, the words not quite our own, and our actions decidedly counterfeit. It feels far more familiar to keep reaffirming the same Godless universe; to cling desperately to our self imposed cycle of reanimated childhood trauma. Of these two identities, we know that the latter is a falsehood and the former is the real deal, but given that it’s easier and perhaps more creatively satisfying to believe a fantasy than the plain old truth, we’re in deep trouble.

IT IS CALLED A PLAY
All a director wants from you is to play as you once did in the park when you were eight years old, when the grownups weren’t watching. If you can do that without EVER taking anything your director says personally, you may become what is commonly known as a working actor.
